Whistle Lake

ANACORTES AREA

Miles: Options!

Highest Point: 580 feet

The map to this area is the key to exploring and not getting too lost. The options are really open, with trails spanning from Whistle Lake and Heart Lake, all the way to the top of Mount Erie.

Also, this trail system is so close to town, that phone service will most likely not be an issue. GPS units will have little problem in assisting you with navigating all of the intersecting routes.

  • Get there: From I-5 head West on Highway 20 to Anacortes (on the west spur of 20) and follow right into town. Take the second exit of the roundabout onto southbound Commercial Ave. and follow to a "T" with Fidalgo. Now Fidalgo turns left and becomes O Street. Follow O Street up a small hill and turn left onto Spradley Road. The next cross street is Whistle Lake Road where you turn right. Turn left down Whistle Lake Terrace, turn right at the "Y" and follow to the trailhead at the end of the now dirt road.
